Internet Crimes Against Children

The Page County Sheriff’s Office is an active member of the Northern Virginia/DC Metro Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force which is coordinated by the Virginia State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigations.

We currently have one investigator, filling a 100% Department of Criminal Justice Services Grant Funded position, assigned to the ICAC Task Force. The ICAC Task Force Program was created to help state and local law enforcement agencies enhance their investigative response to offenders who use the Internet, online communication systems, or other computer technology to sexually exploit children.

The program is composed of sixty-one regional Task Force agencies and is funded by the United States Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. The Task Force is made up of investigators from numerous agencies in the Northern Virginia / Washington DC area including local, state, and federal agencies.
