FY05 Inactive Grants - $149,043.00

USDA Animal Control Vehicle $67,373.00 - used to purchase a vehicle and needed equipment to humanely perform the Animal Control Function.
OEMS $27,195.00 - used to purchase Automated Electronic Defibrillators that were placed in Sheriff's Office Patrol Vehicles, Luray Police Vehicles, Stanley Police Vehicles, Stanley Fire Department, Luray Volunteer Fire Department, Stanley Volunteer Fire Department, Stanley Town Office, Stanley Water Treatment Plant, Stanley Police Department, Luray Police Department, Luray Waste Water Treatment Plant, Luray Public Works, Luray Recreation Department and the County Administration Building.
DEM - CERT $10,450.00 - used to provide emergency preparedness and disaster training to the general public.
Local Interoperability $98,800.00 - a competitive grant that is funded by the Governor's Office to purchase needed interoperability equipment that has been identified by the locality.
DMV Alco-Sensor $1,500.00 - used to purchase Alco-Sensors for the Sheriff's Office.
DMV Radar $1,500.00 - used to purchase a radar unit for the Patrol Division.
DMV Bicycle Hemet $500.00 - used to purchase bicycle helmets for the annual Bicycle Rodeo hosted by the Sheriff's Office.  New bicycle helmets are given to children who's helmet is no longer safe or serviceable.
DMV Checkpoint $1,500.00 - used to provide overtime for deputies to provide additional check points and saturation patrols during holidays and Click It or Ticket.
DMV Traffic Control $1,500.00 - used to purchase traffic cones to be used for traffic control.
LLEBG $1,156.00 - used to purchase law enforcement equipment.
TRIAD $4,942.00 - used to purchase road side safety kits that were distributed to seniors after they participated in a Road Side Safety Course and to fund the annual Senior Crime Prevention Conference.
ODDP/VDEM/DHS $35,187.00 - used to purchase emergency preparedness supplies and equipment for law enforcement, rescue squads, public works, local government and volunteer fire departments.
ODDP/VDEM/DHS $18,320.00 - Additional allocation during 2006: used to purchase emergency preparedness supplies and equipment for law enforcement, rescue squads, public works, local government and volunteer fire departments.
CERT $2,508.00 - used to train the general public in emergency preparedness.
