The TRIAD program is a cooperative effort between law
enforcement
and senior citizen agencies designed to prevent crime against the
elderly. In recent years, there has been a large increase in crimes
against senior citizens nationwide. A large amount of this increase
has stemmed from an abundance of scams and other fraudulent schemes.
The TRIAD program seeks to provide the education and resources
necessary for communities to effectively stop these crimes. Other key
members in the Page County TRIAD program include the Shenandoah Area
Agency on Aging, the American Association of Retired Persons, the Page
County Commonwealth's Attorney office, and the Luray, Stanley, and
Shenandoah Police Departments. |
